Ce que dit l'éditeurOnce upon a... woman in industry The best chance of leading the career which corresponds to who we really are lies in daring to be ourselves, being authentic and kind. In September 1970, the author arrived in Basel, a city she had initially chosen for its vast library and the help it would give her in writing her thesis and ultimately becoming a German teacher. She never imagined that she would only ever give one lesson in her whole life ! By pushing open the door to industry, she would in fact end up building her whole career there. She closed the door fifty years later, in December 2019, and began reflecting on the surprising fact that a woman had managed to not only infiltrate that male-dominated universe, and but also to really thrive there... Once upon a... woman in industry is the story of this atypical journey where human relationships play the key role. Through anecdotes and a touch of humor, the author leads us into « the land of men » which formed her personality, and was marked by encounters, doubts, and successes. A passionate and inspiring tale. |
